Ace the Iowa Security Guard Test 2026 – Step Up, Stand Out, and Secure Your Future!

In Iowa, security guards can carry firearms provided they have undergone additional training and obtained the necessary permits. This aligns with state regulations that require security personnel to be adequately trained in the use of firearms as well as to have the appropriate licensing to carry firearms while on duty. The training typically covers firearm safety, proper handling techniques, and legal considerations, ensuring that security guards act responsibly and within the law.

Other options imply a complete prohibition on firearms, which does not reflect the specific allowances made for trained and permitted individuals. Additionally, while it’s true that security guards may have more freedom to carry firearms during special events, that alone does not capture the overall requirement for additional training and permits that applies at all times. Hence, the most accurate answer is that they can carry firearms with the right training and permits.
